The Project
This Hertfordshire house, located next to open countryside within designated green belt, was completely transformed by adding a large lateral open plan rear extension. The design worked with the existing site levels to accommodate large glass doors to the rear, allowing clear view of a beautiful existing garden and the surrounding fields.
The Design Response
The success of this project lies in key design details which allow the internal spaces to open out onto the level terrace and the flow of the daytime living areas which make the house perfect for entertaining. The use of large rooflights and high coffer ceilings make the rooms feel light, airy and dramatic.

I employed RBD Architecture & Interiors to renovate a London townhouse into 2 apartments. Andy did a fantastic job of laying out the space in both properties resulting in both apartments achieving the full asking price in record time. His designs were clever, utilized all available space, and looked fantastic, quickly reminding me of the added value an architect can have on any property.
